I had plans. There was dancing.

Hello Reader,

I've been having a bit of a breakthrough with social media. (Whoa... words I never expected to write!)

I've figured out how to use AI to make my graphics, which means I never have to spend five hours in Canva again (๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ). Honestly, this alone is cause for celebration.

And for the first time in YEEEEAARS, I'm actually excited about creating content. I've been experimenting with using my own Human Design to figure out how I want to show up online.

So, you know... I've got ideas. I've got a rough plan. And I was going to spend the weekend working on it.

Except we had a family wedding at a brewery/distillery in Toronto.

The bride and groom literally got married between two enormous stainless-steel vats of beer. Which, frankly, is a fabulous place to start a marriage.

The officiant was wonderful. Before the ceremony began, she asked everyone to silence their phones, put them away, and simply be there to witness the moment.

Plus, there were two photographers. Let them do what they do best.

I slid my phone into my clutch.

That phone didn't see the light of day for another sixteen hours.

It didn't take a single photo. Not even one of me playing foosball, which really is a missed opportunity for my burgeoning Instagram career. ๐Ÿ˜‚

There were enormous charcuterie boards, tabbouleh, custom cocktails (Amaro Sours for me, thank you very much), card games, and French fries at midnight.

And dancing.

So much dancing.

At one point, I sat down beside my son and said, โ€œI'm making such a fool of myself out there.โ€

He said, โ€œThat's kind of what happens at weddings. No one can dance.โ€

Well, that was the mindset reframe I needed.

Back to the dance floor I went, where I joined my son, nieces and nephews and awkwardly bopped along to Shania Twain's Man! I Feel Like a Woman!

It was one of those weekends where you're having such a good time that the rest of your life just disappears.

And it did.

I didn't think about Instagram.

I didn't think about the I Ching I'd planned to study.

I didn't think about any of it.

Not. Once.

And then Monday arrived. And guess what?

I was excited to get back to it.

The ideas were still there. The enthusiasm was still there.

I hadn't lost anything by spending the weekend doing something else.

Which is interesting because I've been experimenting with my Sacral Authority (paying attention to what I genuinely want to do instead of what I think I should be doing.)

And apparently, this weekend, what I wanted to do was drink Amaro Sours, eat French fries at midnight, and make an ass of myself dancing with my family.

An excellent use of my energy, if you ask me.

And perhaps the funniest part?

I spent the previous week learning how to show up online.

Then spent the weekend having such a good time offline that I forgot my phone existed.

Sandy Connery Coaching

Maybe the thing youโ€™ve spent your life trying to hide is exactly the thing youโ€™re designed to become. In this newsletter, Iโ€™ll share what it looks like to use Human Design to build a business from the inside outโ€”teaching Human Design principles, telling the real stories, and showing how they can shape your decisions, offers, marketing, and growth.

Hello Reader,He said: You could teach human design and business for this new cohort! It was a Facebook message from an entrepreneur Iโ€™ve known for years. On paper, this was an obvious yes. New audience. Great exposure. Could turn into clients. More teaching practice. Buuuut.... I have this newfound skill. It's body before brain decision making.I've learned, through my Human Design study, to listen to my body FIRST before my brain starts nattering at me about how great of an opportunity this...

Hello Reader,It was early. Still dark outside. The crows were already at it, squawking away at their first morning meeting. I was at my desk in my pajamas, fresh coffee in hand, tangled hair, no concealer, ring light off. A message dinged in WhatsApp. A client asked if we could do some asynchronous coaching through her launch, which was starting immediately. I type-screamed YES, because I knew a little something about her: sheโ€™s a Projector in Human Design, and her best decision-making...

Hello Reader,๐Ÿซ  Yesterday I spent three hours making one Instagram post. Giving myself a little credit, it was an eight-page carousel. But still. THREE HOURS? For the love of God, what is wrong with me? In the last couple of weeks I've wrote, recorded, edited and published eleven podcast episodes. I sit down, grab the ballerina pink headphones, turn on the big mic, start talking, and somehow an episode comes out the other side. Editing? Ten minutes tops.Show notes? Roughly five minutes. Post...
